In this study, we evaluated the usage of online (web-based) search engines and online databases for research* completed by University level students. More specifically, we evaluated DePaul students' use of DePaul Library's Online Database** versus the search engine Google*** for the purpose of doing research for school.

We believe that DePaul students use search engines like Google more often than DePaul's Online Library Database. (Research shows that students like to go with the fastest technique, that being Google, since it does not require individuals to take as much time to search through the databases and read through articles to find the one that pertains to the specific topic.)
